Recent Happenings

Lately, there hasn't been too much going on. I'm back in school, which is good, because I'm starting to feel more like a normal teenager.
I went to preference, pictures are still on there way!
So anyways, KSL did a story on me, if anyone would like to watch it. Here's the link:
After the story, one of representatives asked me to give the prayer at the state capital. Which I did! It was really cool, I've never really been to the state capital. We also were given a tour, I learned lots of things I never knew before!

A golden eagle they had at the state capital

So there you have it! Nothing really interesting going on as of lately. I do go back to St. Jude on March 6th through the 10th. But this time one of my friends is coming with me, so I'm really excited about that! Hopefully we'll get good news again. Crossing my fingers! And praying. I want more than anything for this tumor to just go away. It's so hard for me to think about, because I've never wanted something so bad in my life, and not be able to do anything about it, besides pray.
I'll probably post after my next trip, maybe before if I feel like being productive. But thanks for being supportive!
XOXO
Rach

  2. So glad to hear that life is somewhat normal for you right now....I am so glad that you updated your blog...I heard you say on the news story that you had so many posts, and that it was annoying...SO NOT TRUE! Rachel, there are so many of us out here in cyber land who you helped..."make it through another day" just by reading your uplifting words, and helping us to see that We can all do hard things. Please keep us updated...I would love to hear from you at least once a week, if possible. You might think that it's boring for us, but it's not! Just to read how you truly feel, even if it's about pulling gum off your shoe...believe it or not..we want to hear. You've got us all hooked, and so many of us are still praying for you daily! Just throw us a bone a little more often if you can...We are so happy for the progress that you have made and hope and pray that the next test results will be just as positive as the last....if not better! Give your Mom and Dad a big hug from me!...(P.S. my hair has all grown back, in fact it's time for a haircut!) Love to your whole family, Denise

  4. Dear Rachel,

It's a weird coincidence, but every time that I have one of those days in which I say to myself "I can't do this anymore" and just want to be crying in my bed hugging a pillow... you write a new entry to your blog! I click on your blog everyday to see if there's any news from you... and when I'm having a terrible terrible day, news from Rachel!

You give me strength, you make me believe in myself again, you make me want to fight for things, you cheer me up!

I only know you through your blog and photos, today it was AMAZING hearing your voice, Jordyn's, Lauren's and Diane's voice! Thank you for sharing the story they made of you!

    =)

  10. I also found you through your sweet cousin's video on the CGH channel, and I am so impressed by you and your fantastic outlook and spirit. There's a blog I follow called Momastery and the woman who writes it, Glennon, has a saying similar to yours...I thought of you when I saw these shirts on her site! :-)
